Internship Opportunities at CQU

At CQU, education is not just about assignments, and exams. Research Degrees at Central Queensland University

1. Graduate Certificate in Research

The Graduate Certificate in Research (GCR) is an excellent opportunity for international students to acquire in-demand research skills, which can be applied in many disciplinary contexts. Whether you don't meet the requirements (AQF Level 9 or 10 degrees) to study masters by research courses or doctorate, or you would just like to hone your research skills, the Graduate Certificate Program (Research) can provide you with an easy pathway to achieve your research-centric career goals.

A tailored learning plan/curriculum post-admission is curated for each student.

2. Master by Research Program

Masters by Research programs at Central Queensland University are based on specific research by international students and are carried out under the guidance/supervision of any one of the University's Schools.

The two Masters by Research courses available for international students are:

A. Master of Research

International Students enrolling in this program must perform research and submit the respective thesis at the end of their academic tenure. The Master of Research program is directly monitored by the Research Higher Degree Course Rules Policy and Procedure.

B. Master by Research (Offshore)

The offshore program provides international students with the opportunity to study a recognised research program overviewed by the Australian Qualification Framework (AQF). International Students pursuing a Master by Research program can complete over half of their course staying in their home country. Considering this flexibility, many students choose this research program year after year.

Scholarships at Central Queensland University

Though many universities in Australia offer scholarships for international students, it is difficult to match the eligibility criteria/ academic requirements. However, Central Queensland University has some exciting plans!

The institution has come forward to support all international students enrolling in either vocational, undergraduate, postgraduate and research degrees to avail the ISS (International Students Scholarship).

For 2021 and 2022, international students can receive the ISS Scholarships at all campuses with no minimum GPA requirements. As soon as getting a confirmation letter from the university, you will be considered for the scholarship valued at 25% of your course fee.
